How related to Islam is ISIS?
Despite claiming to be Muslims, along with following an Islamic ultra-fundamentalist ideology, ISIS’s main target is Islamic States and Muslims. Their aim is to get to submit to them and their warped ideas. The vast majority of Muslims loathe ISIS, as shown by the recent video of a man who considers himself a Muslim. Who is their target?
More Muslims have died at the hands of ISIS than anyone else. However, although their focus is mainly on attacking Islamic States and Muslims, it hasn’t stopped them there. They are murdering and committing despicable crimes against Christians, Assyrians, and Syrians just to name a few. In the first half of 2014 alone, 10,000 people plus died subject to brutality, beheading and stoning.
How much power does ISIS have?
ISIS are thought to be in control of 13,000-35,000 square miles between Syria and Iraq. The approximate value of their assets comes to $2,000,000,000, a lot of this was acquired from banks in the city of Mosul, which detrimentally fell captive to ISIS. ISIS have even taken to social media to spread their power, using sites such as Twitter to heighten their movement. As well as being responsible for inspiring thousands from all over the world.
