Finally! The sequel we’ve all been waiting for.

THE PLOT: Every girls favourite modern day heroine is back for one last time in Helen Fielding’s final instalment to the Bridget Jones franchise. Bridget is now all grown up with the 90s far behind her and with two small children in tow with plenty of love, heartbreak and comedy both behind and ahead of her.

WHAT’S RIGHT WITH IT?: For those who loved Bridget’s adventures as a singleton you need not worry as all the excitement and hilarity of Bridget's fight against fuckwits is still the main feature of this book. We can also still identify with her since both us and Bridget have grown up and are facing the struggle of coming to grips with technology such as twitter and online dating.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH IT?: Although it was Bridget’s klutzy and slightly shallow character we all grew to love and most definitely related to (what with those many nights we’ve all spent crying, stuffing our broken hearted selves with chocolate).. in attempt to keep alive the qualities in Bridget that we loved, Fielding has enhanced her most unattractive traits and kept Bridget selfishly hooked on finding man despite having gone through massive life changes, creating a gnawing dislike towards her character.

VERDICT: For those of you die hard Bridget fans hoping for the grown up version of the scatty, loveable character we all adored, you may be left dissatisfied. However, for those who are just looking for a good laugh then Fielding has produced the perfect final Bridget Jones instalment for you.
